  3. High‑Precision Shearing Solution for Silicon‑Steel Sheets on Cut‑to‑Length Lines

Silicon‑steel sheets serve as core materials for motor and transformer iron cores. Their shearing represents the initial processing procedure, where coiled silicon‑steel strips are cut into discrete sheets of specified lengths. Extremely tight dimensional tolerances are required; minor dimensional errors impair stacking accuracy and degrade core performance.

Precise servo‑controlled length‑measuring feeding guarantees cutting dimensional accuracy. Servo‑driven feed rollers and real‑time encoder feedback form closed‑loop control. The system stops feeding upon reaching preset length, then triggers the shear, ensuring consistent sheet dimensions.

Leveling is another vital link. Coiled thin silicon‑steel strips retain internal stress and camber. Uneven strips lead to length measurement deviations. The line’s leveling mechanism relieves internal stress to flatten strips. For thin silicon‑steel material, leveling‑roll configuration and gap adjustment demand high precision with controllable pressure to avoid sheet deformation.

Burr‑free cutting is critical because excessive burrs may pierce insulating coatings during stacking and damage core insulation. Cut‑to‑length lines with automatic blade‑gap adjustment calculate proper clearance according to input material thickness and grade for stable burr control and rapid parameter switching. High‑quality wear‑resistant sharp blades deliver smooth cutting edges.

Surface insulation coatings must be protected against scratches during conveying and shearing. Leveling and feed rollers adopt smooth surface treatment to minimize contact damage to coatings.

Magnetic stacking is recommended for post‑shearing handling. Leveraging the magnetic property of silicon‑steel sheets, magnetic belts hold sheets securely during transfer before gentle release onto the receiving table. This avoids collision and preserves surface coatings, and accommodates various sheet profiles.

Benefiting from high‑level automation, the whole cut‑to‑length line runs automatically from coil loading through shearing to stacking. Operators only intervene for coil changeover. Auxiliary equipment such as automatic coil‑loading trolleys and automatic stack changing supports high‑volume production.
